These super easy and quick double chocolate cake balls are made with a simple mug cake recipe base. A family and friends favorite, they are perfect for a quick, delicious treat.
1. Mix oat flour, cocoa powder, pinch of salt, baking powder, coconut sugar, applesauce, and plant milk into a mug or small dish.
2. Microwave for 1.5 minutes (or bake at 350°F for 20 minutes) to cook the cake.
3. Pour the cooked cake into a bowl and mash with a fork.
4. Mix in 3-4 tablespoons of yogurt until well combined.
5. Roll the mixture into small balls and place them in the freezer.
6. In a separate bowl, melt 1.5 dark chocolate bars (or 1 cup chocolate chips) with 1 teaspoon of coconut oil in the microwave. Heat in 30-second increments, stirring in between to prevent burning, until smooth.
7. Dip the frozen cake balls into the melted chocolate, coating them completely.
8. Optionally, add toppings like pecans and shredded coconut.
9. Place the coated cake balls back in the freezer for 30 minutes or more to set.
10. Enjoy!
